Agera Energy
Formed in 2014 as the year began. One of the worst winters in recent memory had just turned budgets upside down for customers and retail suppliers alike. Call it fate, or luck, maybe a bit of both, but we found ourselves in one of the most opportune times to launch a retail energy supply company in history.
Customers demanded change, guidance, and protection. Retail suppliers that were understanded and not properly situated to serve customers were putting themselves up for sale or going out of business. It was a fabulous time to watch an industry change – we dove-in, head first, to be at the forefront of that change. Agera Energy served its first customers through acquisition of a large national retail energy supplier, and then another, and another. While pursuing as many healthy acquisitions as possible, we simultaneously trained and sent out into the marketplace our large direct sales team. Instead of beginning with energy training and sales tactics, we trained our front lines on how to best serve energy customers, guide them through decision-making processes to ensure that we are being fully transparent at every stage of the process from introduction to enrollment. We began changing the game with our very first customer interactions.
Fast forward to today; Agera Energy has amassed 1.8 million contracted RCEs (customers) – who we lovingly call our fan base. That’s about 600,000 new contracted RCEs who put their faith and trust in Agera Energy each year over the past three years. Our customer base is growing faster than any other private retail energy supplier, and for good reason – we put you first, we stand behind our products and begin every customer interaction with added value, not another sales pitch.
Ambit Energy
is an International multi-level marketing company that provides electricity and natural gas services in energy markets in the U.S. that have been deregulated. The company’s corporate headquarters are located in Dallas, Texas, and its operations/call center headquarters are located in Plano, Texas. Ambit Energy was founded in 2006 in Addison, Texas by Jere Thompson Jr. and Chris Chambless.
Ambit Energy obtains customers through a network of independent consultants who work directly with the customers. Ambit Energy uses a multilevel marketing model, and is a member of the Direct Selling Association of America, a public relations and lobby organization that represents the interests of multilevel marketing companies in the United States.
Ambit typically offers customers one or two-year fixed-rate contracts for utilities. After the contracts expire, services may automatically switch to variable-rate plans unless customers manually renew the fixed-rate plans. In some cases Ambit’s variable-rate plans are substantially more expensive. This has prompted complaints and lawsuits from
consumers, and an investigation from New York Public Service Commission. In December 2015, the Department of Public Service in New York announced that it had secured refunds for 1,566 Ambit customers, totaling nearly one million dollars.
Ambit Energy was named 2010’s Fastest Growing Privately Held Company by Inc. Magazine. The company placed 390th in 2011, 1,996th in 2013, and 2,074th in 2014.
Ambit Energy offers electric, gas, solar services and Green-e plans, offered with a Renewable Energy Certificate (United States). The products and services are offered through their independent consultants.
APG&E Energy
Founded by small business owners in Houston; we entered our home market of Texas in 2004 with service to homeowners and small businesses, before expanding to other markets throughout the US.
Our privately-held ownership allows us to
focus on the long-term, and to develop deep customer relationships rather than a financial analyst’s pressures to deliver quarterly or annual financial targets. As a result, we have the ability to listen to your needs and use our collective energy industry experience to create products and services that are tailored to your requirements.
Other energy providers can choose to use complexity to their advantage but we think there’s a better way. We think about the relationship with you as extended family.
We’re here to provide the very same simple, easy to understand, and transparent product solutions that we recommend to our own family and friends. While our large publicly-traded competitors tout their customer counts, we will continue to
use our size to your advantage by remaining nimble and efficient. You’ll never be simply a number to us!
Whether online, through our friendly customer engagement agents, or through our valued partners, we’ll be there to provide the service that you need. We are here to listen, help you to make informed choices, and deliver the affordable energy solutions and excellent customer experience that you deserve.

Champion Energy Services offers a variety of retail plans depending on the market served and the customer classification. All markets and customer classifications can select fixed price plans that allow customers to lock in an electricity rate for the term of the agreement. Constellation Generation Group owned approximately 9,000 MW of generating capacity from power and fuel processing facilities in seven states and generated more than 52 million MW-hours per year. Its generation portfolio included plants powered by nuclear, coal, natural gas, oil and renewable fuels.
Constellation Commodities Group conducted energy trading operations by trading a diverse portfolio of electricity, natural gas, and other energy products under both short- and long-term contracts to energy users, including utilities and other energy marketers.
Constellation Energy’s regulated utility, Baltimore Gas & Electric Company or BG&E, (later shortened further to BGE) delivered electricity and natural gas to approximately 1.2 million customers in the central Maryland region.

ENGIE
(known as GDF Suez prior to April 2015)
A French multinational electric utility company, headquartered in La Défense, Courbevoie, which operates in the fields of electricity generation and distribution, natural gas, nuclear and renewable energy The company is a component of the Euro Stoxx 50 stock market index.
ENGIE is a pioneer in nuclear energy in Europe with the development of the first pressurized water reactor built in Belgium. It is one of the few players in the sector to develop expert skills in both upstream (engineering, purchasing, operation, maintenance) and downstream (waste management, dismantling) activities. As a nuclear operator, ENGIE owns
and operates seven reactors in Belgium through Electrabel, owns stakes in the Chooz and Tricastin plants in France (1,208 MW – the equivalent of one nuclear reactor) and has drawing rights in Germany.
The company, formed on 22 July 2008 by the merger of Gaz de France and Suez, traces its origins to the Universal Suez Canal Company founded in 1858 to construct the Suez Canal. Since the merger in 2008, the French state holds approximately a third of the company. It adopted the “Engie” name in April 2015 in order to emphasize the changing nature of its energy business and de-emphasize its historical role as a nationalized gas monopoly.
The company holds a 35% stake in Suez Environnement, the water treatment and waste management company spun off from Suez at the time of the merger.[7] GDF Suez bought 70% of Britain’s International Power in August 2010, creating the world’s largest independent utility company. The purchase of the remaining 30% was announced by GDF Suez in April 2012, and the transaction completed in July 2012. On July 1, 2015, the company announced the acquisition of solar parks developer Solairedirect, which makes it the largest solar power electricity producer in France.
As of 2015, ENGIE employs 153,090 people worldwide with revenues of €66.6 billion. ENGIE is listed on the Euronext exchanges in Paris and Brussels and is a constituent of the CAC 40 and BEL20 indices.

We know you have a lot of options when it comes to energy providers. And we also know that you have better things to do than spend time and effort understanding the ins and outs of power usage. So we make the entire process reliable, simple, straightforward, and transparent.
- Budget with Confidence – We want customers to manage energy costs with confidence. That’s why we offer fixed-price products that eliminate market risk and ensure energy prices won’t fluctuate month in and month out.
- Transparency – We understand that budgets matter – a lot. So we guarantee billing transparency: no hidden costs, no hidden fees, and no “bait and switch” offers that produce unexpected sticker shock.
- Financial Strength – Think Energy isn’t new to the world of retail electricity. As a business of ENGIE Resources, we’re backed by one of the largest, most respected corporations in the world – ENGIE – which has been named the No. 1 brand in the utilities sector for five consecutive years by Brand Finance Global 500.
- Customer Service – At the end of the day, we make energy buying easy. When customers call, they speak to a live person – not a phone tree. And when they sign up for service, they get the assurance that power will flow when they flip the switch and the certainty of competitive pricing. It’s that easy – and that smart.
